Welcome to Chez Charente Chez Charente is set in about three acres of garden and grass meadows surrounded by farmland in a traditional French hamlet and is situated right in the heart of the unspoilt and gentle rolling hills of the Charente countryside, famous for it's micro-climate of long, warm, sunny summer days. La Ferme is recently renovated but maintains the character and charm of a traditional French Farmhouse, with open fires and sandstone floors, yet has all the modern comforts you would expect in a well-equipped home. There is a large enclosed private garden complete with BBQ, out door dining facilities and for the children swings and a climbing frame La Petite Maison is a quaint 1 bedroom cottage, perfect for a romantic getaway or for accompanying grandparents. Outside La Petite Maison there is a private garden with a BBQ and outdoor dining facilities. To make your stay as child friendly as possible we can provide just about all the equipment you might need for your children a full list of these can be found on the "What's included" page. We also have an enclosed alarmed swimming pool, a communal play area with a sandpit, hammock, garden seating and lots of garden toys and bikes for the children. At Chez Charente our aim is to make your stay as relaxed as possible and so we have onsite childcare available. Children from birth to 10 can stay and play with a qualified carer, children with most special needs are also catered for, providing much needed respite care for the family. The house has been perfect and the garden and pool have been the
'hub' of our daily activities....... We have had a fabulous holiday and loved the spacious and comfortable
house and child's paradise garden! Lucas our 2 year old says he
wants to come back next year with is friend...... We have had a wonderful week - it really is such a wonderful
place to bring a family. The spaciousness of the house and grounds
and the peace and tranquility all around makes for a relaxing break.
